Step by step guide to recover Pattern Lock of Samsung Duos / Galaxy Y mobile phone :
1. Switch off your Samsung Duos / Galaxy Y mobile phone.
2. Now keep pressed volume up key and same time press the home button simultaneously. (Keep pressed both key)
3. Now press the Power button to switch on your Samsung Duos / Galaxy Y mobile phone.
4. When Samsung Duos / Galaxy Y mobile phone switching on, leave Home button and and power button but still holding a volume up key.
5. Now you will get a pop up screen like you might have already seen in MS-Dos.
6. Now leave the Volume Up key.
7. Now you will get option “wipe data / factory reset” for restore your Samsung Duos / Galaxy Y mobile phone to original settings.
8. Now access the “wipe data / factory reset” restore / format phone option using Volume Up and Down key.
9. Now click on Home button of Samsung Duos / Galaxy Y mobile phone to restore settings of Samsung Duos / Galaxy Y mobile phone.
10. Now your Samsung Duos / Galaxy Y mobile phone will reboot.
11. Now your Samsung Duos / Galaxy Y mobile phone settings is restored to original setting.
Now change the settings as you wish and enjoy.
Note : I have practically done in Samsung Duos mobile phone, I hope this setting restore option will work on another Samsung mobile phone also.
Note II : Before proceeding with above steps , remove the Memory Card and SIM card from your Samsung Mobile Phone.
Remember: Home button, you can say menu button also.
